Cognitive Biases Confirmation Bias
Crack the Rule
I'm thinking of a secret rule that some sequences of three numbers follow. As a starter: 2, 4, 6 follows the rule.
1Propose your own triples to test. I will tell you whether each one follows the rule.
2Test as many as you like — there is no limit and no penalty.
3When you are confident, lock in your guess of the rule.

Confirmation Bias
Confirmation bias is the tendency to search for, favour, and remember information that fits what you already believe, while overlooking evidence that would contradict it.
If you only test ideas in ways that can confirm them, you can feel completely certain and still be wrong. Real understanding requires actively hunting for disproof.
